15 Rail cars which consists of 1 Caboose, 5 Flat Cars and 9 Box Cars, Rail cars are not authorized for rail use due to the brake system used outside of the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, NC, The Flat Cars wood tops are rotted or missing, Box Cars are rusting with some holes, Box Cars have wood interior decking and wood interior walls, The Caboose has some exterior holes and the interior has holes in the floor and rust throughout, Trains are located down range aboard Sunny Point, Screening these trains is limited to Thursday only 10 AM to 12 PM and must be requested at least 24 hours out. Contact Site Manager at (602) 317-2008 with any questions and to arrange screening. No cameras are authorized and all weapons must be declared to the security detachment prior to entry, ** Weight of the lot is estimated **. Truck Scales are located in the Administrative Area, Trains can be dismantled on site at buyers expense. All wood and debris must be taken off site at buyers expense, No loading assistance provided by Government Liquidation or Sunny Point. Buyer must coordinate with Sunny Point Fire Department for Burn Permits each week that trains are being dismantled. Buyer will be provided a Sunny Point POC for personnel roster submissions, all personnel must be American Citizens and will require a background check prior to entry onto Sunny Point. All truck drivers will require background checks as well; all trucks must be scheduled onto Sunny Point prior to showing up for removal of any property. All vehicles will be searched at the search area prior to being allowed onto Sunny Point proper. Buyer is responsible for all debris generated and must remove any and all debris generated by dismantling operation. The following information is provided by Sunny Point: The purchaser must remove the cars within 45 days of the transaction; Sunny Point is a military ammunition installation; The purchaser must meet all OSHA standards (hard hats, safety shoes, glasses, etc.) while working on site; Purchaser must comply with all applicable Federal and State environmental, transportation, and safety laws and regulations; Buyer is responsible for housekeeping in and around the Reclaim Yard, and is required to meet safety and fire standards; All purchasers personnel must meet law enforcement background checks - we must have names of the purchaser and their personnel prior to commencement of work; The purchaser must obtain a burn permit from our fire department prior to starting any job requiring cutting torches, welding equipment, etc. There will be periodic inspections for proper extinguishers, etc. Ensure purchaser has adequate and proper fire extinguishers on site at time of torch cutting. Confirm that the purchaser must provide their own personal equipment for the downsize material, dismantling, cutting, loading, to facilitate with the removal of the rail cars; All purchasers vehicles and equipment will be inspected prior to entry on and off of installation. The purchaser must ensure their vehicles; equipment and other items do not leak fluids. In the event of spills, the contractor will take action IAW Sunny Points contingency plan; the purchaser shall provide for the storage of their personal property/gear; and Sunny Point can inspect the purchasers equipment prior to commencement of work, Recommend buyer screen items prior to placing bid.
